Construction Project Scheduler

Hollister Construction Services is currently seeking a Project Scheduler who has experience in supporting several commercial construction project managers who are responsible for managing multiple multi-million commercial projects within the Tri-State regions. This position will be responsible for development and maintenance of the construction schedule as well as frequent coordination with project team members.

The scheduler works under direct supervision, gathers and distributes information and reports directly to the Project Manager. The Scheduler must be a flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Development, review, analysis and maintenance of resource loaded computerized CPM Schedules for multiple construction projects located in Newark, NJ area
  • Ability to work with multiple project teams
  • Create baselines schedules in accordance with project requirements and drawings
  • Prepare detailed schedule reports as required (i.e. critical path view, cost curve, baseline vs. actual comparison, look ahead schedules, milestone reports, “what-if” scenarios as required, Recovery schedule, etc).
  • Candidate will possess experience with Project Management Scheduling concepts (Activity Definition and Sequencing, CPM and Baseline analysis, Earned Value Management, Data Date concept, etc).
  • Ability to work independent with minimum supervision
  • Review construction schedules for contract compliance, realism, accuracy, and incorporation of milestones and constraints
  • Review and track monthly cost projections and variance analysis
  • Variances, trends, potential impacts to meeting schedule milestones, changes to float, slippages, and recommend measures to mitigate slippages and avoid construction delays

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of construction scheduling
  • Must be proficient in Primavera P6 and MS Project
  • Experience in the following industries: High Rise, Multi Family Dwelling, Education is helpful
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar related field; experience may be substituted for degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Procore a plus
